4. The Cupbearers

Dream (A-17/B, 2021):  In this dream, I found myself holding a half-filled cup and walking along with some other people who too had their own cups in their hands, and it was being said that we were taking those cups to the King. As we continued walking forward, we saw some people along our path to our left who were being nailed to their crosses and were in pain. We then reached in front of what looked like a hut out of which were coming people with brown chocolate cakes in their hands. Apparently, it was those bakers that were being taken to be crucified. We were witnessing the baker who had come out of the hut with a baked brown cake being quickly taken by the soldiers to be crucified when the dream ended.

Interpretation: The children of God are like the cupbearers who go and meet the King for real to hand Him the cup. (The cup also represents our share of sufferings that are reserved for us in order for us to be with the King at the end. Some hours back I was thinking that my cup was too bitter as I was feeling all spent with no ‘inner’ energy felt or left to complete my God-ordained task. So I laid alone on the bed to give myself an outlet and be comforted by God as I was feeling disheartened by the false idle words of others as well – those who give false judgments and whose mouths only utter rude and ungodly stuff.) The bakers only bake cakes that are put on the dining table in front of people as a good showpiece. The baker doesn’t get to be in the close presence of the King, while the cupbearer himself/herself tastes the ingredients of the cup before handing it over to the King.
